Still I Rise
Still I Rise returns to 香蕉传媒 on Friday, April 8 in the Mitchell Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The collaborative concert features the collegiate women鈥檚 choirs of St. Scholastica, College of St. Benedict, University of Northwestern鈥揝t. Paul and the University of St. Thomas in a performance that intertwines the arts, education and social justice.
Elise Hintzman is a student in the College鈥檚 Bella Voce choir and also serves as rehearsal manager for the Lake Superior Youth Chorus. 鈥淪till I Rise is an incredibly impactful experience because of the unforgettable experience it presents: the feminine voice on full display, unapologetically,鈥� she said. 鈥淭his event promotes solidarity, awareness, and ultimately action as it inspires each individual to use their voice for change.鈥�
Admission is free but a free-will offering will be taken with all proceeds benefiting Duluth鈥檚 .
Student Emmy Mayer expressed her hope that attendees will be called to action and inspired to support organizations like Safe Haven that provide resources to local women. 鈥淭his program is a moving experience for those involved and those attending as we work together to uplift and encourage one another inside the performance venue and beyond.鈥�
